3a. Device Permissions We Request

When you use specific features, the app may request permission to access certain device capabilities. Each permission is only requested when you take an action that needs it, and you can decline any prompt without losing access to the rest of the app.

Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription)

We request camera access so you can take a new photo directly from within the app when adding a profile picture, a meal photo, an event cover photo, or a motivation image. For example, when you tap "Change profile picture," the app opens your camera so you can capture a selfie that is then uploaded to your account. Photos taken with the camera are used only for the feature you chose and are not used for any other purpose.

Photo Library (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription)

We request access to your photo library so you can select an existing photo from your device to use as a profile picture, meal photo, event cover photo, or motivation image. For example, when you log a meal and tap the photo button, you can choose a picture of your food from your camera roll to attach to that meal entry. We only access the specific photo you select and never scan or upload your entire photo library.

Location (NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription)

We request approximate location access so that, when you create or view an event with a street address, the app can display the event on an interactive map and show nearby events. For example, when you add a family outing and enter its address, the app converts the address to map coordinates and shows you a pin on the map. Location is used only while you are actively using the events feature and is never tracked in the background.

Photo Add Permission (NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription)

We request permission to save images to your photo library so that when you generate or customize a shareable inspiration card (a Bible verse or motivational quote with a background image), you can save it directly to your device's camera roll. For example, after you tap "Save Image" on an inspiration card, the app writes that single image to your photo library so you can share it later. We only save the specific image you chose and never read or modify other photos.

4. AI and LLM Transparency

The Service uses artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs) to power several features. When you use these features, certain data is processed by AI providers to generate responses.

What data is sent to AI models:

  • Meal descriptions (for calorie estimation)
  • Workout descriptions (for calorie and intensity estimation)
  • Recent meal and workout history (for nutritional advice and momentum reports)
  • Check-in data and activity history (for daily encouragement)
  • User preferences (fitness goals, nutrition goals, encouragement tone, religion)
  • Uploaded photos of meals (for analysis, if applicable)

Important limitations:

  • AI-generated calorie estimates and nutritional advice may be inaccurate
  • AI-generated encouragement and inspiration may not reflect professional guidance
  • AI models may retain or process data according to their own policies
  • You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for health decisions
  • We are not doctors or dietitians; any dietary or medical advice should be followed at your own discretion

5. Data Sharing and Visibility

You control what data is shared and with whom:

  • Family sharing: You choose which family members to link and which events and pinned messages are visible to them.
  • Public profile: You choose whether your profile, goals, motivation photo, saved events, meals, workouts, and inspirations are publicly visible. Shared items are opt-in only.
  • Friends: You must accept friend requests before sharing data with connections.
  • Events: You choose who to invite and whether events are public.

Your private data (meal logs, workout logs, check-ins, journal entries) is visible only to you unless you explicitly share it.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Google: Used for authentication (Google Sign-In). Google receives your email and basic profile information when you sign in with Google.
  • Base44 Payments (Wix): Processes subscription and credit pack payments. Your email and payment details are handled by Wix's payment infrastructure. We do not store your full payment card details.
  • Oura: If you connect your Oura account, biometric data (sleep, readiness, activity) is synced using your Oura personal access token. This data is stored in your account and is visible only to you.
  • AI Providers: LLM and AI services process data you submit through AI-powered features (meal descriptions, workout data, etc.) to generate responses.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed. Some aggregated, anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes. Integration logs (credit usage tracking) may be retained for up to 90 days for billing reconciliation.

8. Your Rights

  • Access: You can view all data stored in your account through the app's features.
  • Modify: You can edit or delete your data at any time through the app.
  • Delete: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
  • Export: You can export your data (contact support for assistance).
  • Opt-out: You can choose not to use AI-powered features or connect third-party services.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication, and row-level access controls to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact support so we can delete it. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental consent to use the Service.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
